The National Republican Congressional Committee is criticizing state Rep. Steve Santarsiero for voting last week against a budget that includes no new taxes while increasing funding for public education, universities and community colleges.
The budget passed the House of Repesentatives with 115 Republicans votes and 13 Democratic votes.
NRCC regional press secretary Chris Pack said Santarsiero “has a history of obeying the orders of Pennsylvania Democratic leaders,” including Gov. Tom Wolf.
“If Santarsiero doesn’t have the spine to stand up to an out-of-touch millionaire governor, how can we expect him to stand up to out-of-touch millionaire Nancy Pelosi?,” Pack asked.
